Even after reading all of that and watching the video I still have no idea what exactly it does! So is it just an image editor? Why do you even need the cards?

Basically it is an easy way to digitize your drawing and share it. You could of course just take a picture yourself, but this tries to ensure proper proportions and sharing to multiple networks in one shot.
